General Dynamics C4 Systems Appoints Valerie Jircitano Jacocks Director of Army Accounts
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Feb. 23, 2010 — General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has named Valerie Jircitano Jacocks, a retired U.S. Army colonel, as director of Army Accounts for the business unit’s Washington Operations. Jacocks will support customer relations with the Army on behalf of the business unit and work on strategic and new business development initiatives. Jacocks will also work closely on communication network programs and strategies, command and control applications for battle management and Army research and development and technology projects and programs.
Jacocks served in the Army Signal Corps for more than 22 years. Her last assignment was with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where she was responsible for transitioning new technologies to the Army. Prior to her assignment at DARPA, Jacocks was the Deputy Division Commander (Rear) for the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.
Jacocks has a Bachelor of Science in education administration from Western Kentucky University and Master of Science in resourcing from the National Security Strategy from the Industrial College of Armed Forces.
