Chief Financial Officer
Sean Hazlett is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, and Capital Raising, as well as driving all financial planning of corporate priorities and strategic initiatives. He has over 20 years of leadership and finance experience, most recently leading the Corporate Finance and Investor Relations functions at JUUL during its period of hypergrowth and subsequent restructuring. He has held various finance and leadership roles at GE Digital and Symantec. At Symantec, he led Investor Relations during the multibillion-dollar divestiture of Veritas to the Carlyle Group. Sean also spent five years at Morgan Stanley where he worked as both an investment banker and an equity analyst covering enterprise software, semiconductors, and cleantech. Prior to his business career, Sean served as a US Army cavalry officer in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, where he trained various Army and Marine Corps units for war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sean holds an AB in history and BS in electrical engineering from Stanford University, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he graduated with Second Year Honors. He is also a CFA Charterholder. At the Kennedy School, he worked at the Stanford-Harvard Preventive Defense Project, winning the 2006 Policy Analysis Exercise Award for his work on policy solutions to Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Sean is also a professional writer and editor, and teaches strategy and finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business’s Executive Education Program.
